1 Corinthians 9:18, 19 What then is my reward? That in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not use up my rights in preaching it. / Though I am free of obligation to anyone, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
Deuteronomy 25:4 Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.
2 Corinthians 11:7–9 Was it a sin for me to humble myself in order to exalt you, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? / I robbed other churches by accepting their support in order to serve you. / And when I was with you and in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have refrained from being a burden to you in any way, and I will continue to do so.
